Delivery Driver

Overview
Join a dynamic team delivering goods across Malta. The role requires reliable, customer focused driving, safe handling, and timely completion of delivery routes.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily deliveries according to assigned routes, ensuring punctuality and accuracy.
• Load and unload goods safely, verifying items against manifests and reporting discrepancies.
• Maintain vehicle condition through routine checks (oil, tyres, lights) and report maintenance needs promptly.
• Ensure compliance with road safety regulations, company policies, and health and safety procedures.
• Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients. Obtain signatures, handle queries, and resolve minor issues on delivery.
• Complete administrative tasks, including delivery paperwork, proof of delivery, fuel, and mileage logs.
• Assist the warehouse team with stock handling and order preparation when required.
• Adhere to company schedules and communicate proactively about delays, accidents, or route changes.

Skills and Qualifications

• Valid driving licence Category C1.
• Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar position.
• Professional working proficiency in English and Maltese.
• Strong time management skills and ability to follow planned routes efficiently.
• Good physical fitness for lifting and carrying items of varying weights.
• Customer oriented with clear communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic numeracy and literacy for handling documentation and electronic devices (smartphone/tablet/GPS).
• Knowledge of local roads and traffic conditions in Malta is an advantage.
• Familiarity with handheld delivery devices or mobile apps for proof of delivery is desirable.
• Willingness to work onsite and adapt to occasional overtime or weekend shifts as required.
