<h2><strong>The Wow</strong></h2>
<p>As a Tech Lead at Betsson Group, your primary responsibilities will be geared towards driving technical excellence in our products. You will serve as a bridge between the domain architect(s) and engineering teams, facilitating technical design, decisions and delivery. Being a technical expert, you will actively support our managers in building world class engineering teams. This is a hands-on role, where you will have frequent opportunities to research new technologies, lead technical investigations and develop POCs for new ideas, and will actively participate in key technical initiatives</p>
<h2><strong>A taster of what you will be involved with: </strong></h2>
<p>Your main goal is ultimately to drive technical excellence in the domain – in particular towards improving stability, performance, code quality, and development efficiency. To this end, you will be expected to:</p>
<ul>
<li>Identify and champion technical improvements for consideration in the roadmap, ensuring the benefits are clear and understood.</li>
<li>Work closely with architects to ensure that the architectural direction and standards are being communicated, aligned & implemented within the teams.</li>
<li>Develop and maintain a strong understanding of our business and products.</li>
<li>Take the lead on technical design decisions, whilst ensuring alignment with the domain architect(s).</li>
<li>Take an active, hands-on role with important technical initiatives and issues.</li>
<li>Support new product development by producing POCs and/or documented technical designs.</li>
<li>Research new technologies and assessing their potential application.</li>
<li>Review major changes to ensure they are up to standard.</li>
<li>Serve as a key technical point of contact for the domain, collaborating with product, architecture and engineering colleagues across the organisation.</li>
<li>Help build our world class teams, thus participating in technical interviews and providing technical feedback on people, as well as coaching & mentoring engineers.</li>
<li>Participate in team ceremonies such as planning, refinement, etc… to keep up to date on ongoing works and upcoming plans.</li>
<li>Lead technical trainings to share knowledge and improve technical expertise within the teams.</li>
</ul>

<h2><strong>What we are looking for</strong></h2>
<ul>
<li>A strong technical background in software engineering for web applications.</li>
<li>Highly knowledgeable and experienced with TypeScript / JavaScript and Web Markup (CSS3/HTML5).</li>
<li>A deep understanding of Observable technologies (preference for RxJS / Signals).</li>
<li>Highly knowledgeable and experienced with modern agile software development practices, GIT based projects, and CI/CD.</li>
<li>Knowledge about web component frameworks (ex. StencilJS)</li>
<li>Highly experienced and comfortable working with large scale applications, including: SDK & FE components architecture, modularisation, efficient application bundling, unit testing, and integrating with backend APIs.</li>
<li>Expertise in delivering highly performant web solutions on an international scale, with preference given to implementing SSR mechanisms and optimising content delivery with CDNs, caching, and other solutions surrounding front-end applications.</li>
<li>Possess demonstrated working experience in defining and documenting technical solutions around front-end architecture and its integration with backend services.</li>
<li>Ability to efficiently review PRs and provide constructive feedback.</li>
<li>Experienced and passionate about coaching and mentoring people, preferably having done so in a similar role.</li>
<li>Communicates clearly and confidently with the engineering team, whether running training or knowledge transfer sessions, walking through requirements, or presenting technical designs</li>
<li>Communicates effectively upwards with Architects and the Head of Engineering, presenting technical proposals, trade offs and risks with clarity and sound reasoning</li>
<li>Is approachable and open, someone the team feels comfortable going to for guidance or support. A strong team player who builds trust, shares knowledge willingly and contributes to a collaborative team culture</li>
</ul>

<h2><strong>Great if you have</strong></h2>
<ul>
<li>Prior experience working with custom UI design system frameworks.</li>
<li>A good understanding of front-end data tracking through Google Analytics / Google Tag Manager.</li>
<li>A good understanding of AI Tooling and AIDLC practices. Helps driving AI Tooling adoption within the team in a responsible manner, building confidence and good habits. Applying sound judgement to AI generated output, ensuring code quality and security is never compromised.</li>
<li>Working experience with geographically distributed teams.</li>
</ul>
